PLC partnered with the Hawaii Department of Education, School Library Services to host the 2019 Statewide School Library Conference held at Honolulu Country Club, August 8–9, 2019. The conference featured Dr. Joanna Christodoulou, Shannon Miller, and other experts in the field of education. Over 200 participants, comprising school librarians and district and state level personnel, attended the two-day event. Assistant Superintendent, Donna Lum Kagawa, opened the event with an inspiring call to action.
