From February 1, 2023 to April 25, 2023 the orchestrated and executed the second annual Sparx Music Mentor Entrepreneurship program (MME). This PLC initiative pairs middle and high school students from Kaʻū-Keaʻau-Pāhoa Complex Area with accomplished performing artists who leverage their expertise as a mentoring platform. The project carried out this initiative in collaboration with local performing artists and experts in digital media production and marketing.
Through the Sparx MME program, KKP youth were afforded the remarkable opportunity to showcase their musical talents both locally and internationally. This was achieved through a formal partnership with HI Sessions, a premier social media platform in Hawai‘i that serves as a global stage for promoting local music and artists. PLC enlisted the HI Sessions team to film this year’s four Sparx MME student finalists at Ko Olina Resort. Each of the four student’s professionally-mastered multi-camera debut music videos can be viewed on the Sparx Hawai‘i website.
